Juvenile remora

Juvenile remora turning in shallow water

Exploring a shallow seagrass bed off Nassau Bahamas, I felt something hit me on the side of my leg. I look down and see this juvenile remora (Remora remora) trying to attach itself to my thigh. Apparently, the confused little suckerfish thought I could provide meals and ventilation. It refused to accept that I would make a poor host and followed me around until I left the water.
